This course outlines the process of supporting children and young people from the emergence of need through the complexities of engagement to carrying out a Child and Family Assessment.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the course participants will:

  • have Jersey’s Children First shared values, principles and language;
  • understand the complex process of transition to engagement children and families experience
  • understand our shared qualities and what they look like in practice
  • understand the 5 Questions and the Wellbeing Indicators and how these can be used to help understand when and how to provide support for a child and family
  • be confident in completing Child and Family Assessments using the shared templates and tools
